Traits of a Good Relationship

It is our relationships that define our lives. When we have good relationships, we are continuously inspired, we stay healthy, and we go on despite the odds that we face. It can’t be denied though that when we are stuck in a bad relationship, we are greatly affected by the negativity inspired of it all.
All these years, I had this wrong idea of good relationships. I thought it was all about the other person. All about their happiness and satisfaction. Then after major events, I realized that how I perceive th
ings and how I love who I am matter the most. So from then on, I am clearer on what the real traits of a good relationship are.

1. Centered in optimism and lots of kissing

When you and your partner have a good relationship with your very selves, everything flows in in good vibrations. When one of you has bigger personal struggles and insecurities, there will always be something like a wall between you both. When there is optimism shared, it is easier to let go, to open up, to trust, and to kiss a lot. Kissing is one of the best ways to express your burning desire and passion. As the insecurities and negativities are set aside, you are able to keep the energy between you in full force. This can also to a good relationship full of love and affection – not conflicts.
Acceptance is very important in the most challenging times of the relationship. You have to always remember that arguing too much does not lead you anywhere. When your partner disappoints you, be more accepting.

2. Belief in your natural beauty

Two people who are comfortable in their own skin can surely make a harmonious relationship together. When not anyone of you dwell on low self-esteem, you will not have troubles because you both have this assurance that you are enough. Insecurities only lead to doubts, fears, and anxiety.

3. Be best of friends

Romance may fly out of the window at some point but friendship will stay and linger. A good relationship comes with the best kind of friendship. When you are the best of friends, you explore life together. Best friends are not afraid to show their best and their worst for their bond transcends any walls. When the steamy late nights are not there, you can just hug and cuddle and still mean the world for each other. When one of you is at his/her lowest, there are no demands but just an attentive ear to listen, to console. When one is bored, you have the other to be silly with. You can be crazy together and it is all good. Being best of friends allow you to be playmates, fortresses, and twin flames.

4. Not founded on expectations

Expectations are major downers in a relationship. When you expect too much, you also get disappointed too much. When you drop down your expectations and enjoy your own passions, you are also freeing your partner from having to keep you happy dependently. This does not mean that he/she can’t give you awesome surprises at all. This is also a reminder to you – to be happy with who you are and what you love to do. When you set your partner free by not bugging him/her when you are trying to fix a bad day. It is important to take care of yourself. It is only when you are content and at peace from within when you begin to expect less from others.

5. Zesty passion shared

A good relationship exudes zesty passion shared. It can’t be denied. It is as if the whole world knows and feels that you are so passionate about each other.

Practice Communication in your Marriage

Most couples believe they need better communication skills and that would change their relationship for the better. They claim that they either argue because of misunderstandings or that one or the other don’t discuss their problems openly. Communication (or lack of it) is often NOT the problem Most couples have re-hashed issues over and over and they know what their partner’s position is. The issue is often that they do not accept the partner’s position and are “trying” to get them to change to see their side. And we know how that usually goes; right? It does not happen. So often communication problems will boil down to “they are not listening to me or they would change their behavior”; or “they don’t care enough about me to change”. Neither of these thought processes are helpful to building and sustaining a fabulous relationship. Breakdowns in communication are often the way in which each partner successfully maintains a balance of power. Power and control issues usually ex...

Ways in which a Perception Of Someone can Be Defined By How Other People Describe Them

There are times when one will meet someone without knowing anything about them and then there are other times when this won’t be the case. In this instance, one will have heard about the other before person they have even met them. When this happens, one can feel as though they already know the other person, and even though they haven’t met them, they may feel the need to behave in a certain way. And the way in which they behave can all depend on how the other person describes them. First Impression This can mean that their first impression of the other person won’t be formed through being in their presence; it will be formed through listening to what other people say. It then might not matter how accurate their descriptions are, as one can believe they are finding out what someone is like.
