Easy Ways to Meditate Everyday

Our fast paced busy lifestyle today makes it almost impossible for anyone to sit quietly and meditate. People these days find it hard to focus on one thought because they are distracted by the many things going on in their minds. Work deadlines, personal problems, bills to pay and other issues can really make so much noise in your head.
Aside from all these thoughts, modern technology can really numb your brain if you allow it. Many people cannot last a day without going online. Most of us cannot go anywhere without our mobile phones. Even children these days have their heads buried in their gadgets. Our brains are taking in so much information that it has become so difficult for us to just sit in silence and hear our selves breathe.
This lack of silence, meditation and soul searching can be very stressful. There are many meditation techniques but they also take time to master. If you are a beginner and wish to start a meditation habit, try these three easy ways to meditate each day, to get you started.

1. Take a Slow Walk Alone

Siting quietly does not help me meditate anymore. Sometime even when I pray, I find my thoughts drifting away from my conversation with God. One very effective way to start your soul searching is by taking a slow walk by yourself. As you do start asking yourself, “Where am I going?” “What am I doing with my life?” “What are the things that really make me happy?”
Start a conversation with yourself as you walk and try to answer your own questions. If you wish to meditate on a spiritual level, call unto God and ask Him your questions. Take the time to pause and look at the things around you. He may be sending you signsYou will realize that you have been ignoring so many beautiful things around you. The more you are aware of this, the more you will be able to focus on the things that really matter.

2. Make Thank You A Habit

One great way to meditate on a busy schedule is to practice saying thank you. As you wake up in the morning say a little prayer and start counting your blessings. Say thank you for every little thing you think is worth being thankful for. It can be as simple as another day of your life, the food on your table, the people you love and the house that you live in.
No matter how bad you think things are in your life, there is always something you still can be thankful for. No matter how little you think you have, there a lot of people out there who are wishing to be in your shoes. Being thankful makes you appreciate your life a lot more and it one of the ways to finding your true happiness.

3. Taste Your Food

My psychology teacher left us a very important lesson on our last day of class. She said, we can forget everything she has taught us, but we should always remember one thing to “Taste your food.” It is a mantra that we all should remember. Life is short and the time we have lost will never come again. So savor every moment of your life.
When your children ask you to play with them, do so. Look at them and think ahead. They won’t be children forever and one day they will have to leave to live their own lives. If your parents ask you to spend time with them, do so. Again, life has its ending and they won’t be around forever, so enjoy every moment with them while you still can.
Every chance and every opportunity in this life has an expiration date. Change is inevitable and if you are too busy to enjoy time with the people you love now, you may regret it when the day comes you can no longer be with them. So one good practice to being mindful is to remind yourself constantly to “taste your food.”

Practice Communication in your Marriage

Most couples believe they need better communication skills and that would change their relationship for the better. They claim that they either argue because of misunderstandings or that one or the other don’t discuss their problems openly. Communication (or lack of it) is often NOT the problem Most couples have re-hashed issues over and over and they know what their partner’s position is. The issue is often that they do not accept the partner’s position and are “trying” to get them to change to see their side. And we know how that usually goes; right? It does not happen. So often communication problems will boil down to “they are not listening to me or they would change their behavior”; or “they don’t care enough about me to change”. Neither of these thought processes are helpful to building and sustaining a fabulous relationship. Breakdowns in communication are often the way in which each partner successfully maintains a balance of power. Power and control issues usually ex...

Ways in which a Perception Of Someone can Be Defined By How Other People Describe Them

There are times when one will meet someone without knowing anything about them and then there are other times when this won’t be the case. In this instance, one will have heard about the other before person they have even met them. When this happens, one can feel as though they already know the other person, and even though they haven’t met them, they may feel the need to behave in a certain way. And the way in which they behave can all depend on how the other person describes them. First Impression This can mean that their first impression of the other person won’t be formed through being in their presence; it will be formed through listening to what other people say. It then might not matter how accurate their descriptions are, as one can believe they are finding out what someone is like. However, if one hears what other people have to say and then decides to come to their own conclusion, they might be able see for themselves. But, this doesn’t mean they won’t...
