7 Habits of Highly Resilient People

Life has its many trials and challenges. It takes a great deal of resilience to overcome the hardest blows of life. We all have to learn to be strong, flexible and adaptable to be able to move on, after a big failure or great sadness. We have to learn from the habits of highly resilient people so we too can deve
lop the kind of resilience they have.
Here are the seven habits of highly resilient people.

1. They live by the saying “Health is Wealth”They know that to be able to deliver well in any task and to be able to overcome any challenge they need to face, they have to be physically, mentally and emotionally strong. They take good care of their health by eating right, exercising and getting enough rest. This way they are always physically capable to perform whatever job is given to them.

2. They like challenges

Resilient people do not have problems. They see difficulties as challenges that need to be solved. Instead of dwelling on the problem, feeling down and defeated, resilient people study the situation and focus more on finding a solution to the problem. Because of this, they are very effective problem solvers that can overcome any obstacle that come their way.

3. They are always optimistic

Optimistic people are more resilient than those who see the more negative side of things. The thinking that everything will be alright even in the darkest of situations provides a person the will power and strength to keep moving forward. A great sense of faith and hope pushes a person to never give up, no matter how hopeless things may seem. And most of the time, these people do succeed in overcoming whatever problems they face.

4. They have a Sense of Purpose

Resilient people know why they do things and what they are doing it for. They always set a goal and focus all their efforts in reaching that goal.

5. They are Independent

Strength comes from knowing that in the end, you can only rely on your own two hands. Resilience comes from being independent. Being able to do things for yourself gives you s sense of self worth and courage to face every adversity even if you are all alone. Resilient people know that they do not always need someone by their side to accomplish anything.  They just have to believe in their capabilities and use them the best way they can.

6. They Are Adaptable

One very important habit of resilient people is their ability to accept the current situations and people around them and learn to adapt. Being flexible to change makes them survive the everyday challenges they have to face.

7. They Seek Help From Friends

Lastly, strong and resilient people know that there are things they cannot do alone. They know the sometimes they will need to seek help from friends and family. The ability to know when these moments are and being able to determine which people in your life would be willing to lend a helping hand allows them to survive some heavy moments that they cannot conquer alone.
Learning from these seven habits and applying them to our lives, we too can develop the resilience we need to overcome the difficulties that we may face in life. We can learn to be resilient, if we are willing to make a change for the better.

Practice Communication in your Marriage

Most couples believe they need better communication skills and that would change their relationship for the better. They claim that they either argue because of misunderstandings or that one or the other don’t discuss their problems openly. Communication (or lack of it) is often NOT the problem Most couples have re-hashed issues over and over and they know what their partner’s position is. The issue is often that they do not accept the partner’s position and are “trying” to get them to change to see their side. And we know how that usually goes; right? It does not happen. So often communication problems will boil down to “they are not listening to me or they would change their behavior”; or “they don’t care enough about me to change”. Neither of these thought processes are helpful to building and sustaining a fabulous relationship. Breakdowns in communication are often the way in which each partner successfully maintains a balance of power. Power and control issues usually ex...

Ways in which a Perception Of Someone can Be Defined By How Other People Describe Them

There are times when one will meet someone without knowing anything about them and then there are other times when this won’t be the case. In this instance, one will have heard about the other before person they have even met them. When this happens, one can feel as though they already know the other person, and even though they haven’t met them, they may feel the need to behave in a certain way. And the way in which they behave can all depend on how the other person describes them. First Impression This can mean that their first impression of the other person won’t be formed through being in their presence; it will be formed through listening to what other people say. It then might not matter how accurate their descriptions are, as one can believe they are finding out what someone is like. However, if one hears what other people have to say and then decides to come to their own conclusion, they might be able see for themselves. But, this doesn’t mean they won’t...
